We’re a week out from the end of my spring 10×10 experiment where I wore 10 pieces of clothing for 10 days, so today I’ll be recapping my experience with the challenge/experiment/what else can I call it to make it sound less pressure-y, and sharing some of the things I’m taking away as I move forward with my closet. (This was probably an awful sentence to read for anyone into the English language and its grammar – Sorry! I love long sentences and use commas where my teachers tell me I ought not to.)
It’s the last day of this thing!!!!! Apologies for this belated post – I had kind of a rough go of it last night and spent some time crying my eyes out, which is possibly a post for another time if I ever decide to talk about this strained mother-daughter relationship o’ mine. But here we are, and better late than never, yeah?
ONE MORE DAY!!!! One day more like the Les Mis song? Today we’ve got another outfit that pushes me a bit out of my comfort zone in forcing me to combine pieces I thought wouldn’t work well together, and then upon finding them on my body I decide they do actually look kind of alright!
The last 3 days of the 10×10 are upon us! Hallelujah praise the clothing minimalist lord. Today’s outfit is entirely a product of me being too lazy to shower and then just thinking, “Well, what can I wear that’ll go with my baseball cap?”
Day 7! That’s, like, 3/4 of the way through this damned thing, right? I’m waiting anxiously to regain access to my full wardrobe again, but I’m also kind of enjoying how this 10×10 pushes me a bit out of my comfort zone. I never would’ve paired a button-up with these pants, because I assume it would look awful, but I actually like the look of it! So that’s at least one thing this challenge is good at – helping me discover new outfitz~* (in the midst of crying about my lack of shoe choices).
It is so blissful getting to wear anything you want and have the whole of your closet available, lemme tell ya. But after a weekend away from this 10×10, we’re back! Onto the last half of this thing –
It was raining today and thank heavens for that, because it means I could use it as an excuse to wear a different pair of shoes!
